Why can’t I receive alert notifications via SMS?

There are 3 reasons why you could not receive the notifications via SMS. 

1. You have not registered and verified your phone number. In this case, even if you are on the recipient list, you will not be able to receive any SMS. To solve the problem, follow the steps here to set up your phone contact.
2. The alert creator does not enable the SMS function. In this case, you may want to consult the alert creator. If necessary, you may edit the alert and enable the SMS function in the Recipients section.
3. You are not on the recipient list. Similarly, you can consult the alert creator and ask him or her to add you as one of the recipients of the alert notification.
