Quick Guide to Locations

Location

It is the physical space that you wish to collect the data from. It can be a shop, a shopping mall, a restaurant, or any other places. There could be more than one location under one workspace and there is no ceiling on the number of stores could be created under one location.

Private location:
Only Admin, Integrator, and selected user/team are allowed to access the information related to the location.

Non-private location:
All workspace members are allowed to access the information related to the location.

Now follow the steps below to create a location:

  • Go to “Location” and click “Add Location”
  • Fill in the location information as required
  • Customise the access right of the location
    • private or non-private

The data collected at the location will be displayed according to the time zone set in the Time Zone field.

Next, you will need to upload a floorplan for your floor in a location:

  • Click “Upload Floorplan” and drag & drop or click to upload the floorplan
  • Preview the floorplan and confirm the selection to proceed
  • Floorplan has been successfully uploaded and shown in the preview

Touchpoint

Touchpoint is an user-defined area on a floor where Cyclops will perform data analytics on. There is no limit on the number of touchpoints that you can create. You can create various touchpoints in a location to monitor the performance of different areas.

Touchpoint Group

Touchpoint Group helps you organise your touchpoints into groupings to monitor the performance of various touchpoints of the same category. For instance, you can use the touchpoint group function to track the footfall of various entrances of your store to see which entrance draws the most traffic. For each touchpoint, you can create up to 2 touchpoint sub-group layers with unlimited sub-groups and touchpoints.

Differences between Locations and Touchpoints

Locations are your shops, while touchpoints are part of your stores. Store areas can be categorised into touchpoints that display different products or serve different purposes (counting zone traffic, customer engagement, queuing and journey time etc.)
