What is the difference between locations and touchpoints?

Location is the entire physical space that you wish to collect the data from, e.g. a shop, mall, restaurant, event space etc., while touchpoints are part of your location.

A location can be categorized into touchpoints that display different products or serve different purposes. For example: in a convenience store, you may set the entrance, cashier, and beverage sections as different touchpoints.

As the example shown above, you can have more than one touchpoints inside your location that have different purposes. Here, we separate out the checkout zone and the beverage corner. In a more advanced setup, you can even set up individual touchpoints around your key area in every direction, running an in-depth analysis on how customers interact with your latest products, marketing campaign, etc.
